Our Teachers

Our teachers come from all sorts of backgrounds, but they’re united by a common passion: Sharing music with children and families in the Fayetteville!

All teachers have successfully completed the live Music Together® Teacher Training, which is built on research in early childhood and music development. We keep our skills fresh through workshops every semester and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide.

I became a Music Together parent in the summer of 2016 when my daughter, Lydia, was gifted classes for her first birthday. Lydia and I instantly fell in love with the program and continued to attend classes over the next year. As a parent, I loved watching my daughter grow and learn with music just as she had as a child. I grew up in a home where music was always around. My mom played the piano, my dad played the guitar, and everyone was always singing together. I became involved in musical theatre, band and choir in both school and at church, and attended theatre camps in the summers. When I found out a new teacher was needed for Music Together of Fayetteville, I was thrilled and knew I needed to make this my next adventure. This will be my 3rd year teaching. I am beyond excited to continue making music with the families in Fayetteville and surrounding areas!

Hello! I’m Alysia, but I go by Lysi. I graduated from South View High School in 2016. I am the second oldest of four kids. I work with the elderly at an assisted living residency. I love working with children and the elderly. I attend church regularly where I am a part of the worship team — I love to sing! I am very excited about becoming apart of the team, and I am extremely excited for my first class as a Music Together instructor!

Hello, everybody! I am the new center director for Music Together of Fayetteville LLC! I am excited to take on this role and to continue spreading music to the Fayetteville community. I hold a degree in Music Business from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I currently teach piano full-time so you may not see me in the classroom alot. I will mainly be handling the business side of things for the next little while, but I leave you in good hands with Cena & Lysi!

In class and at home, the real teachers are the parents and caregivers! Children are biologically wired to respond best to the model of the people with whom they have a bond of attachment.
